I’m delighted that my Microsoft Exchange 2010 (including SP1) Inside Out book published by Microsoft Press is now available in a Kindle edition. The book is also available at Amazon.co.uk
and other country-specific sites. Other e-book formats (ePub, MOBI, PDF) for the book are available from the O’Reilly web site.
Of course, those of you who prefer the tactile experience of reading paper copies of books can get your copy of Microsoft Exchange 2010 Inside Out here. I still prefer paper books but I appreciate the utility of keeping electronic copies of reference material in easily-accessible formats on electronic book readers.
And before anyone asks me, I don’t understand Amazon’s pricing strategy. It seems weird that the paper book is priced at $37.79 while the Kindle version costs $46.45! Interestingly, a tweet from Forbes.com Tech News on 15 December revealed that ebooks now represent 84% of units and 76% of revenue for O’Reilly’s online sales from their web site, so I guess people are happy to buy ebooks, even if they come at a premium.
